All around good guy

It’s been a busy twenty-five years.

From campaign development for Target stores in the late 90s, through a social strategy for Coca-Cola’s World Cup sponsorship, to leading omnichannel strategy as a marketing director at Verizon through 2022, I’ve successfully leaned on my ability to process large amounts of information quickly, come to the table with innovative ideas, and lead teams to want to work together toward positive ends.

I also earned a Ph.D. in history, taught college history, co-edited the Letter of Frederick Law Olmsted, wrote a historical novel (that’s yet to be published), wrote historical op-eds for the New York Times, and traveled the world while writing about it.

I’m here to bring it all to bear.

Featured projects

  • Looking to bring my fifteen-years at agencies and brands to bear. With deep digital, brand, and content marketing experience, I'm open to freelance or permanent opportunities.

  • A Substack newsletter exploring those moments when something clicks in your mind, and you suddenly think differently than you thought before.

  • I was the featured guest of episode 153. I spoke from the heart, so give it a listen if you'd like to know more about me.

  • Follows four generations of two interconnected families, one Black and one White, as they navigate a rapidly modernizing New York City. Moving from the War of 1812 through the Civil War, each of its six chapters centers a different family member negotiating challenges both classic and modern: shifting illusions of freedom, achieved and thwarted ambitions, realized and unrequited loves, violent and natural deaths.
